Fun Facts

Click to enlarge Jennifer’s self-portraitWhat is your college major/minor? Journalism Major with a Women’s Studies Minor

What are you going to do after graduation? I will kiss my grandma and say: “I’m the first in the family to graduate college…rock on!”

Who are your role models? My grandma, my sister.

What is your proudest moment? I spoke on my father’s behalf at his court sentencing [for dealing drugs].  I said that my father is still a good person.  I will never forget that moment.

What are your favorite quotes? “When life hands you lemons, make lemonade.”
“You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.” (Vince Lombardi)

What is your most embarrassing moment? My first day of high school, I was called down with the other cheerleaders to do a cheer and the MC asked each of us to say our names…well, my voice happens to be very soft and somewhat on the higher side. When I said “Jennifer,” the whole high school stared back at me and burst into an uproar of laughter! How embarrassing! Later I walked into the wrong classroom full of juniors and this guy said, “hey it’s the squeaky cheerleader!”

What makes you cry? I always say you can run me over with a tractor and I won’t cry.  But this girl is a softie when it comes to emotions.  I held off watching Titanic for three years, just because I knew I would be so upset,  I am a sensitive person, but also very strong.  For too many people crying is associated with weakness, but my tears have meaning.

What makes you laugh? Babies make me laugh, my friends, satirical cartoons, hearing others laugh, making a fool of myself on national television.

Do you know how to change a tire? I do know how to change a tire, no lie.  But I learned the hard way.  The time I got a flat, it took my best friend Lucy, two passers by, one guy on a skateboard, two officers, a ride along wife (with a lot to say), and a really big tow truck to fix it. Needless to say, it was quite the production.  But yes, I do know, now at least, how to change a tire.

What is the coolest thing about becoming famous? I bet most of you don’t even know who I am and are just killing time and reading this (haha). Seriously, it is going places and meeting people who actually thank me.  They just say thanks and that’s it.  I have had the opportunity to meet some pretty amazing people, and I feel like it’s all just getting started.

If you could have any animal for a pet, what would it be? I would love to have a horse. In fact, when I grow up (haha grow up) I plan to have three horses.

Did working at the candy shop make you sick of candy? Let’s just say a sweet tooth doesn’t decay…however I can only eat so much.  But know this, if you ever want to know anything about anything to do with candy, I’m your girl.

What is your favorite candy? I’m an all around candy connoisseur.
